Too Faced - Sweet Peach.

I've finally got my hands on one of my most wanted eye shadow palettes!

Too Faced - Sweet Peach.

Too Faced is one of them high end makeup brands which I can't say I own a lot from. Not really sure why, it's just never been a staple to the makeup collection. I'm kind of boring and stick to what I know and love.

I was gifted this one by some friends for my birthday which was lovely. They were probably fed up of me picking it up near enough every time I went shopping and popping it back because I wasn't sure! Oh god am I glad they did though because I love it.

The first time I used it was for my birthday party the night after. Risky using a palette you've never used before on a night you really want to make sure you look good on! Definitely a risk worth taking!
I think the one thing that caught my attention is the fact that all the shades are very neutral which is usually the kind of look I end up going for. I very much play it on the safe side when doing eye looks as I'm not exactly a makeup artist! You know what suits you and I tend to stick to that.

First off, this palette is meant to smell like peaches. It definitely lives up to it's name and is such a refreshing smell when you're working on that perfect cut crease!
The first thing I noticed when I was giving this a go for the first time was how pigmented the shades are. If there is one thing I hate it's a low pigment on an eye shadow. I'm also not a massive fan of matte eye shadows. I love a bit of glitter or something that's really going to make my eyes pop. There's a good helping of shimmer with a lot of the shades and 'nectar' and 'luscious' give me that perfect glow for the inner corners of the eye. Don't get me wrong I still go for a bit of matte here and there and this palette allows you to have the best of both worlds.

I had a bit of a photo dilemma, all the photos I took in good lighting didn't seem to quite show off the eye look I went for so I had to throw on a better top than my baggy bright yellow pyjama top to grab a better selfie! The selfie not so great but at least it shows off the colour a little better I suppose. The better photos have to be the instagram ones though right?!

Now Too Faced is definitely more of a luxury purchase as it is retailed at £39.
I personally don't think this is too bad for a high end palette is there are 18 shadows to choose from and comes with a mirror which is essential if you're one for doing your makeup on the go. I tend to do my makeup while sat on my bed so having an eye shadow palette with a mirror makes that a lot easier.

I would definitely think about getting myself some other Too Faced products in the future.

Speak soon!

Bitch I'm Back.

This is weird.
I haven't sat infront of my computer like this for a long time. It's strange how much a little bit of time away can throw you off completely!
It's like I've forgotten how to type, but it feels so good to be back.

For those of you who have noticed .. I've been a little quiet recently.
I haven't uploaded that much and I've been away from social media for a bit. Do you know what? Sometimes a little bit of time away from that kinda of stuff is actually a dream.
It's crazy how much social media can get into your head.

So I haven't blogged since the end of October!
God that's a long time.
I feel like I needed a few months to remind myself what was important to me and give myself a bit of time to focus on myself.

I think my main struggle with this time of year is losing my grandad 2 years ago in November.
He was the first person in my family life who I have lost and it hit me hard.
It's one less laugh round the table at Christmas, it's one less person to remind me how important it is to be happy and it's one big hole in my heart.
He's one person who's shown me unconditional love since I was born.
So I have a pandora bracelet which I was bought for my 21st birthday which I treated myself to a new little charm.
I love things that have a meaning. And things that have a meaning that is probably going to be different for everyone.

I went for this little beauty.
Green was my grandads favourite colour. So it's a little charm with a lot of meaning.
The photo doesn't show off the colours as well as it looks on my wrist. It's super glittery and super green.

2018

So yeah it's a whole new year now.
I think I've learnt a lot.
How to deal with stuff better!
I'm a nightmare when it comes to actually doing new things.
Just work, go home, eat and then get up to do the same again the next day.
Ok I definitely don't get better at the working less!
If it means earning more money then of course I'm doing it . Ahh I'm working is always an easy excuse to make if you won't want to venture out of your comfort zone for a bit!

Already this year I feel like I've got out on my comfort zone which is fantastic!
I mean yeah ok I've had an average of about 2 days off this year but work hard play hard I suppose.
Or just work a lot and occasionally do something fun.

This weekend I did something different.
I was spontaneous.
People who know me know I'm not the most confident of drivers.
I'm confident when it's a journey I know so I'm not going to have any unexpected driving related challenges to face but yesterday I got back from a little last minute trip to Southampton.
That meant venturing onto the motorway, some very unexpected hills, and a hell of a lot of getting myself lost.
It's fair to say I had a little meltdown on the way back.
But I'm back so that's the main thing!

It was so nice to just do my makeup nice and dress up a little bit.
I haven't been able to feel like a little princess in a long time.
And more importantly I haven't been able to get a little creative with a photo for a while. We all know I like a good selfie or window shot as I've gone for this time.

Ok well that's it from me for now.
I won't leave it 3 months till the next one I promise.
I have my blogging mojo back so who knows .. this year might be the year of a lot of new and more exciting things from me.
Watch this space.

Lots of love
