You know when you need to try something new?
Been happy with a foundation for a while but just want to change it up just to see if you can love something just as much?
I am forever changing my foundations because I get bored of the same things!
Mainly because I have phases of fake tanning and phases of just accepting that I am a pale bitch.
Freshly tanned I decided to take myself off to Brighton for a little mooch around the shops.
I have always wanted to try Urban Decays foundation because I've heard so many good things about it.
I have the worst skin ever, I get stressed very easily and it shows straight away on my skin so I need a super high coverage foundation to feel a little happier in my skin.
Because of this I do tend to opt for high end foundations. Mainly because they make the time to insure that the foundation really does match your skin tone and I just feel so much more comfortable leaving knowing that someone has really helped me find the perfect shade!
The lady at Urban Decay was super lovely and helpful!
We chose 3.5 as the right shade for me and honestly I have never seen such a perfect match.
The reassuring thing as well was that she also showed me how the shade above and below blended with my skin and you could straight away tell that 3.5 was easily the closest match.
Honestly this foundation excites me so much.
So it costs £29 but for a high end foundation that is pretty average!
It is definitely worth every penny.
I always find that when I've tried a foundation in store and then take it home I really struggle to get on with it.
I have never got on with a foundation so much in my life.
The coverage is perfect.
The colour is perfect.
The application is perfect.
It is just perfect.
Ok I couldn't just treat myself to a new foundation, I got a new foundation brush too!
Rude not to right?!
I've never bought a NYX brush before but got this one worked a treat.
Usually I go for Real Techniques but I thought I'd change it up this time.
I prefer brush application to beauty blender. I just get on with it more!
So the one I went for was a Dual Fibre Foundation Brush which cost me £16, compared to my usual spends that was on the pricey side. But definitely worth every penny.
My makeup has never looked so even and flawless!
Easily the best two purchases of my makeup life!
If you're debating with yourself whether to get these then seriously grab them.
