As soon as I heard there was going to be a 'CheeseFest' in Brighton I couldn't contain my excitement.
I LOVE cheese!
What a disappointment.
Well actually just before I go into it, I actually had such a lovely day!
We were just expecting a little bit more cheese.

Sunday was added to the mix because of the high demand for the Saturday, fantastic because I wasn't working Sunday so could make it.
Saturday had been and gone and the reviews on Facebook didn't seem that great.
Hoping for the best of course, I set off on the Sunday morning in a great mood, expecting to try lots of different cheeses and put myself in a little cheesy food coma. The weather was basically what I'd expect from Spain. It was super sunny which was brilliant.
We opted for the early tickets expecting to spend the best part of a day there.
Wrong.
Expecting to be queuing for ages to get in, we surprisingly had our tickets scanned and walked straight in.
I think my first words were along the lines of 'Oh is this it?'
It probably took a record breaking time of 5 minutes to walk around all the stalls and have a nosey at them.
Yes there were lots of lovely stalls there but there was only one stall where you could try and buy some local cheeses which I really would call a missed opportunity.
I was expecting some local bands performing, lots of tasting opportunities, lots of wine tasting and a really happy atmosphere.
Once we'd finished our incredibly quick walk round we headed straight for the bar (Of course we were there before it had even opened!)
We opted for going to three different food stands and trying a bit of each.
The first was 'friesguys' which did a massive portion of curly fries smothered in lots of cheesy goodness. Followed by mac and cheese waffles which kind of disappointed me! I was expecting it to be absolutely smothered in cheese bit it was more like pasta cooked in a waffle maker. The last stop was halloumi fries which will always be my absolute favourite.
I did also take some cheeses home. The brie was absolutely incredible so of course I needed some of that and then I did want the local cheese which they were selling but she gave me the wrong one! Disappointing I know. It was more of a stilton that she gave me and I hate stilton.
Chilled morning/early afternoon complete we were still hungry!
Roast dinner was on the cards .. it was Sunday so rude not to.
Never have I had such an incredible Sunday roast.
We went to Pitcher and Piano. I am a massive hater of chicken on the bone so I was so put off when the waiter said it would be on the bone. As soon as I said that they made sure I could have chicken without having to have it on the bone so that set me off to a good start.
I'm use to a Toby Carvery roast so this was like fine dining to me.
Honestly if you're ever looking for a good Sunday roast then go here.
To end my little cheesy post I was incredibly pleased to see that 'The BIG Cheese Festival' had put out a post to say that anyone who attended 'CheeseFestUK' could get themselves a complimentary ticket to their festival in March 2018 due to the negative feedback it had receive.
So roll on March 2018 for hopefully a day filled with more cheese!
