Prosecco BathTime!

Is it just me that feels like today is a Sunday?!
Probably more because I got the luxury of finishing work at 5pm today which trust me feels so good.
Unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough to get a 3 day weekend, but for those of you who did .. I hope it was relaxing and alcohol filled.

After a very tiring bank holiday I am so ready to crack open the wine and fit in a super relaxing bubble bath.
I'm not really sure why but people are so much more moany on a bank holiday monday! I know it's not been the nicest of days weather wise but lets still spread the love!
By the end of the day everyone was surprised I was still smiling!! I thinking putting the red lipstick on to start the day makes everything that little bit brighter in my eyes.

So Prosecco BathTimes!

I've been feeling a little bit rubbish recently.
I'm not really sure why, I feel like a lot of girls have their bad weeks and this is definitely mine.
You know when you're just always tired and always overthinking .. like silly things that you really don't need to overthink about?! That's probably why I love a good bath, it's like a little escape from reality where I can just pop a playlist on and really clear my mind!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has to schedule this into my week?!
I am never truly relaxed until I get in the bath sober and get out slightly tipsy.
I am a sucker for a Lush bath bomb so whenever I am on a little shopping trip I have to stuck up .. I have way too many in my bathroom but a girl can never have too many bubble baths.

Today's chose was 'The GodFather' which I haven't used before but it looks super good!

I'm a sucker for a bubble bath so if my bath bombs are ever a little tight on the bubble front I just a ton of bubble bath in with it to make it super bubbly!
I could easily be mistaken for a kid.

I'm super excited for my next blogpost! .. I'm going to the zoo!!
I'm literally the biggest kid and have gone on and on about wanting to go to the zoo recently so I will be taking way too many pictures to put together a post.

Well I'm off to relax in my bubble bath now!
Hope you enjoyed reading about my pamper evening.

Summer Essentials.

It's finally starting to feel a little bit more like summer.
The nights are pulling out.
The weathers getting that little bit warmer.
The smiles are getting that little bit bigger.

Everyone has their little group of summer essentials .. things that start to creep into the wardrobe or the makeup collection or just back into their lives in the summer months.

So heres mine -

Maxi Dresses -  I absolutely love a maxi dress or skirt in the summer. They're just so easy to wear and style. With dresses I tend to stick to black (Mainly because lets face it .. it is super slimming) and I find black just a lot easier to work with. When it comes to maxi skirts I am a lot braver! My current go to is a peachy pink skirt which I can team up with an off the shoulder top. Most of my favourites were bought a few years back so unfortunately I can't recommend my personal choices but keep an eye out in New Look and Primark .. they have always got an amazing range.

Statement Lipsticks -  When it hits summer my eyeshadow just creases like there no tomorrow so I change it up and go for a bold lipstick. Red is definitely my go to colour but I do go for a lot bolder nudes at this time of year. A girl having a really good lipstick day can honestly take on the world.
Check out
- Russian Red by MAC £15 (I team this with Cherry lip liner also by MAC £12.50)
- Everlasting Liquid Lipstick by Kat Von D in Lolita £17

- Velvet Slipper by Sleek Matte me £4.99 (This is more of an Autumn but I rocked it last summer so lets face it I'll probably rock it again this summer)
Of course I wear a lot of these lipsticks all year round but I definitely find they creep in that little bit more often in the summer.

Fake Tan -  Ok I know what you're all thinking! Summer! You can go out in the sun and get a natural tan?! Guys I'm a milk bottle, no matter how hard I try I just can't tan. I burn. So I make my tanning day a Thursday normally .. have to be prepared with a fresh tan ready for the weekend. I absolutely love St Morez it's definitely the best tan I have ever worked with. Just apply it before you go to bed .. unlike other tans I have tried, this one dries almost instantly so I can get straight into bed, and then just wash off the guide colour in the morning. Simple. I pick this up in Savers for £2.99 so it's an absolute steal! One day I will convince myself to try sun beds but for now St Morez is killing it for me.

Cocktails oclock -  No summer is complete without lazy afternoons in pub gardens with a few too many cocktails. This is one thing I absolutely love about summer .. the lighter evenings mean it's so much easier to just have a little catch up with friends enjoying the sun. My favourite places are Revolution in Brighton (I have a Revolution card I am that in love .. but honestly £3 for the card and you can pretty much get 2 for 1 cocktails all day everyday) and Slug and Lettuce or the CowShed in Worthing. The Slug and Lettuce do the absolute best Passion fruit Mojitos! Again these places have 2 for 1 deals at certain times on their cocktails.

These are my summer essentials!
What're yours?
Of course I could talk about way more things but lets face it I'd be here all day!
I hope you're all as excited for a bit of sun as me and these essentials have helped you on your way.

IndyLuxe Review

If you keep up to date with my Instagram you will have seen that I received my IndyLuxe makeup brush order last week and promised a review here on my blog!

IndyLuxe is a 100% cruelty and vegan friendly makeup brush brand and I love it!
From their two collection choices I went for the 8 piece Unicorn set of brushes .. mainly because I felt like the eyeshadow blending brushes looked more up my street!
I would 100% buy the other set though as they look just as nice.

So the set which I received is £22 and the rose gold set which is their alternative is £28. I can't remember how much postage charges came to but it wasn't much at all, and I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly they arrived.

When they first arrive I had expected them to be bigger .. mainly because a lot of my other brushes have a longer handle. But when I got down to giving them a go they are actually just the right size. Perfect for your handbag.

I'm completely in love with the eyeshadow brushes. I used them on friday night to create my makeup look before I went out and they're super soft and really worked well blending out my look. I'm always struggling to find softer brushes to stop the harsh lines with my eyeshadow but these work a treat.
The second to last brush in the picture above is especially good for getting a darker colour through the crease which I usually struggle so much with.
I will definitely be using these a lot more to create new eyeshadow looks.

I haven't used the larger brushes as much because I definitely stick to what I know with my base makeup but if they're anything like the blending brushes I am going to love them.
I did use the second brush along when applying my foundation on Sunday morning and it gave me an even coverage so I was pleased with the results.
The first brush looks perfect for contouring and bronzing so I will definitely be using that soon enough.

All in all I would definitely recommend getting hold of these.
Remember if you use the code 'MAISIEBUSH20' you will get a discount and I thought £22-£28 for a set of everyday makeup brushes was incredible so that just makes it even better!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
