Messy MakeUp Collection.

It can't be just me that is super super messy right?!
I'm forever tidying my room and it's messy again within a matter of days.

My make up is probably the worst.
I get everything out then wonder why I'm trapped under a mountain of makeup brushes and eye shadow palettes.
One day someone will train me to be tidy! (Hopefully)

I'm also a bit of a hoarder .. I just can't throw things away!
Even if I don't use it often there is still a point where I would have done, so it has to stay.

My make up takes up a lot of space and I like it to look good (Most of the time)
I'm also well aware that I have a crazy amount of makeup .. more than one girl could ever need.

I will go into my makeup collection a little bit more at some point in the future.
It for sure needs a good clear out before I really dive into it for a blog post.

I'm also an absolute sucker for inspirational quotes to add to my wall so if you know any good ones please link me!

I have a post planned for Sunday evening so keep your eyes peeled!
My mid week posts are always that little bit more casual but hope you've enjoyed reading, I know it's only a short one but I needed a bit of writing time.

EyeShadow Overload.

Before I headed for Birmingham I was told by near enough everyone that I would absolutely love their shopping centre. Of course I would .. I love shopping!
It definitely didn't disappoint. I have never seen a shopping centre quite so big.

Popping into Selfridges was a risky move for me because the sight of so many makeup stands in one room gets me like a kid in a sweet shop.
I was pretty good for me and only bought two products!
(I'm patting myself on the back while I write this)

Zoeva - Cocoa Blend.

I am forever on the lookout for new eyeshadow palettes to the point where I have way more than a girl could ever need. Towards the beginning of the year I gave another of Zoeva's palettes a go 'Rose Golden' and instantly fell in love. Honestly it's up their with my everyday favourites. Although the palette I bought in Birmingham is for sure one I've had my eye on since then.

These palettes contain 10 different shades which can easily work together to create so many different looks. They retail at £18. Obviously I bought mine from Selfridges but most online beauty retailers will stock them.

Cocoa Blend - I'm not going to lie .. I mainly did just buy this palette for the 'warm notes' shade which is an almost burgandy red/pink which is a shade I'm absolutely loving at the moment.
I'm definitely getting more adventurous with the shades I'm using recently which I'm very pleased with.

Here is a close up of the palette.
They come in really lovely packaging and the pans are a really good size .. I sometimes find shadows to be a bit on the small side making it more difficult if using a sizeable brush.
I use the Zoeva eyeshadow brushes to create my looks and would definitely recommend these as a staple in my makeup collection.

Once again it is a before work (Probably running late because I couldn't get the right angle) selfie. I'm usually doing my makeup for work so it's the best time to get my snapshots of my makeup. I 100% will always say there are people out there who can do way better makeup looks than me but I am happy with what I can achieve and I feel like I am improving everyday the more I get to know new techniques.

So that's my current eyeshadow overload
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Afternoon Tea, Prosecco and Dreamboys.

Yeah about uploading more on my blog which I'm on holiday?!
I was surprisingly busy ok!
I've not really had a day where I can just sit down and type. If I've not been running around sorting things out for my birthday I've been spending time with family or seeing friends.

Of course you all know I turned 21 last week!
I don't think I stopped going on about it for the last few months.
Just be warned this is going to be super full of photos!!

Wednesday
My actual birthday!
I'm definitely an afternoon tea snob. I love a good afternoon tea so we went to a lovely place called West Dean Gardens to enjoy a bit of sun and a lot of food.

I have never been so amazed at the sight of food before. Even when the first stand came out I was super surprised as to how much we were getting .. and then the second stand came out we were all gobsmacked. The photos not the best quality but you can see how amazing it all looks.
We had to take all the cakes hope there was that much! Of course it all got eaten .. eventually.

Thursday
The party!

I couldn't see my 21st in without a little party.
Every year I have to have a party and I tend to go to a place called Limings near where I live. It's so lovely in there, perfect venue for a get together and I will probably always choose there for a party (Until they get fed up of me that is!)

As it was my birthday I needed a little added pamper so decided getting my makeup done would be a good option. I went to Diamond Tanning Studio where I get my brows done already. Mia has a makeup studio in there and did an incredible job on my makeup for the evening.

You can find Mia on Facebook - Mia Clark MakeUp

I think now is the perfect time to just thank everyone that came along to my party! Definitely made it a night to remember.

Friday
The dreaded 5 hour journey up to Birmingham!
To be fair I was expecting it to be a whole lot worse but the journey was actually pretty easy so can't complain.

The first thing I noticed about Birmingham was how stressful driving most be .. everything is one way and looks every so confusing. Oh and just my luck it was raining when we arrived.

The first night we just went for dinner and cocktails, we needed to be fresh in the morning ready for a busy day of shopping.

Oh and the whole reason for our trip!
The DreamBoys.
Although I must say I was slightly disappointed.
I was expecting a little bit more crowd participation .. or at least for someone to be dragged up on stage.
I can't really complain though it was a pretty good night.

Ok I think I've given you enough picture for now.
If I could thank every single person one by one who made my birthday special I think I'd be here all day. But thank you to everyone for my birthday wishes, cards, present and memories.
I won't be forgetting this birthday in a hurry!

Don't worry I'll be back to normal with posts this week .. back to reality tomorrow for me!

Two Weeks Off? Yes Please!

Afternoon Guys!

Today I got to wake up to a seriously needed lie in .. knowing that I can continue to enjoy a little bit of TLC with my bed for a good few days.
If you haven't guessed already next week is my birthday!!
I'm super excited!

I'm such a fan of birthdays and I will completely milk it, I don't just have a birthday I have a birthweek.

So I don't have to get out of bed early, drive myself into work, park super out of town because I'm such a pay for parking snob (Who genuinely wants to pay for parking?!) and talk myself out of going to the gym for the rest of the day. I know full well I won't be motivated enough to go to the gym while I'm off either but at least the thought is there .. kind of.
Instead I can bake cakes, go out for lunch every other day and go on and on about my birthday for two weeks.

Ok it may be the 5th April so I have another week to go yet but the lead up is just as important.
The first day is always the best day of my holidays because I can go and get my nails done .. I'm myself again when I have my acrylics back! It's like I give myself a whole new lease of life .. if you've got good nails everything always feels that whole lot better.

Here's my choice of acrylics this time round and I'm super in love.
Also how good is this drink?! It's Mangajo - lemon and green tea which I picked up in Waitrose. It's heavenly.

What else is there too look forward to?

So this weekend I'm super excited for a bit of family time.
My sister is coming down with the family and I honestly couldn't be more excited!
With my niece being a baby and my nephew being 7 I feel like it's so important to spend time with them because they grow up so fast.
I'm just pleased I'm not working so I can make the most of a bit of much needed time together.

Monday I have my last proper orthodontist appointment before I finally get my brace removed (Well hopefully .. two years is enough time to be a brace face) by the end of the month I should finally be brace free!
I feel more nervous than excited right now about it which is kind of strange.
Seeing the changes it has made to my teeth is crazy .. I really hope I get access to the before and after photos they take because it's such a massive improvement.

Wednesday is my birthday!!
Of course I will be making a blog post on my birthday.
I am going for Afternoon Tea with my parents .. I'm leaving it down to my dad to sort out where. He loves a good project (He'll see it as a project) so I'll leave him with a bit of computer time.
You only turn 21 once so I might as well at least try to make it classy!

Thursday I'm having a birthday party which I've gone on about for months.
I always have some form of party for my birthday and everyone definitely goes all out because they know I'm a party animal.
Let's just say the texts exchanged the next day are normally along the lines of 'I have an incredibly sore head' or 'What the hell happened last night?!'
Sorry guys!

Then the main event ..
I'm heading to Birmingham for the weekend for the last celebrations.
Mainly just to see the dream boys but we'll pretend that I'm going for a bit of sight seeing right?!
I feel I couldn't let my birthday go without having a girls weekend away .. and no girls weekend away is complete without getting the binoculars out for a strip show!
I'm really looking forward to it.
Can't think why?!

Well that's a little bit of an insight into what I'll be doing with my time off .. if you want to be kept even more updated then just keep an eye on my Instagram. I'm sure it will be overflowing with photos!
There will definitely be a little more activity on my blog while I have a little bit more free time so I'll look forward to getting a little bit more into this.

But for now I am going to sit in the dining room with the dog enjoying a bit of sun .. his excitement when I got home and opened the back door so he could sit in the garden was crazy!

Brow Day Every Day.

I can't set myself up with a blog without writing about something every girl should feel passionate about.
Brows!
I'm definitely a brows kinda girl and absolutely have to get my brows done every three weeks without fail.

Two years ago I thought I'd give High Definition Brows a go.
I'd heard so much about it and thought I'd take a leap out of my Beales threading every now and then routine.
If you haven't heard of High Definition Brows then you need to get on that bandwagon.
It's incredible.

Beth Sayers Brows.
I'm sure you've all heard of her, let's be honest.

She can literally work wonders to anyone's brows. I started off two years ago with over grown, awfully shaped brows and I feel like now my brows can keep their shape and I don't even have to do anything to have a full looking brow everyday.

So I managed to track down a little progress picture here from an appointment a while back but you can definitely see how much of a nightmare my brows can be to take care of. (Excuse the no makeup ,, my skin was in need of a little bit of time to breathe)
But literally guys look how much of a difference this treatment can make?!

I go and see Beth every three weeks to keep those bad boys tame but most people would only need to go once every 4-6 weeks. The joys of having so much brow hair!

I've been to a few different brow technicians in my time but I can 100% say that I would never let anyone else touch my brows again. Beth is absolutely amazing at what she does and I have never felt so good about my brows.
I'm one of those people who hates going to salons because I'm way out of my comfort zone and I find the whole experience awkward. I have never felt uncomfortable or awkward going to get my brows done because Beth is so friendly and welcoming. It's like going for a catch up and a green tea and walking out with a super strong brow game! Oh and occasionally a glass of prosecco because sometimes needs must!

So what is High Definition Brows?

Of course if you really want to know what it's all about then its better to speak to someone who really knows what they're talking about! HD Brows is a lot more than just a quick thread in the local salon and as soon as you see the outcome you can definitely tell. It starts off with the tint. I have very dark brows naturally so we stick with a colour as close to my natural colour as possible. Then the wax comes out, the bit which some people find scary but I find waxing quite therapeutic, I find the whole treatment pretty therapeutic. This gives the perfect shape. Next up is a bit of threading and tweezing for all those stubborn hairs (I have a lot of stubborn hairs) If I'm having a no makeup day I'm all done but if I'm having a good makeup day and I want to go out that evening I can always be sure my foundation will be all touched up and my brows will look perfectly filled in ready to party!

I 100% know that was probably the worst attempt of a description of HD Brows but just know that it's for sure the best move I ever made and Beth is the best person to help you kick start that brow journey.

Rest assume if you're going out after Beth will make sure you're more than photo ready!

Ok I feel I have rambled on about brows enough now!

If after reading this you want a little taste of the BethSayersBrows lifestyle you can find her on Facebook - BethSayersBrows, Instagram -  @BethSayersBrows and Twitter - @BethSayersBrows

The Go To HighStreet Lipsticks.

I'm definitely a lady of far too many lipsticks.
I can definitely say I have a lipstick for every occasion .. and then some.

So today I've put together my current favourites (Which was a pretty tough decision) But I've got it down to 6 products in total.

Excuse the fact that my makeup table needs a clean .. when I do my makeup let's just say I end up with more product on the table than my face!

I'll start with the red lipstick which is by Seventeen and is called Hot Stuff (I find the name a bit cringe but the product is amazing) it is one of their 'Supreme Shine Lipsticks' and retails at £4.99 (in Boots) .. Bargain.
I find it incredibly difficult to find red lipsticks which don't go really dry and patchy quickly but this one is so moisturising and long lasting. I find it probably one of the easiest out of all my darker lipsticks to apply and would definitely recommend this one a lot!
If you see me wearing a red lipstick, 9 times out of 10 it's going to be this one!

Next up is the NYX Lingerie collection.
Again I get hold of these in Boots .. I'm so excited because they have finally brought a NYX counter into my local Boots (Thank you make up fairies!)
These are my absolute favourites for nude lipsticks. They are so easy to apply.
The two shades which are my current favourites at the moment are 02 and 08. They retail in Boots at £7 and last me a good 6 months before I need to repurchase. 02 is more of a nude/purple colour .. more of a dark nude but it's perfect when I want a casual look with an almost subtle but statement lip. 08 was my first lipstick love from this range, honestly it is the perfect nude. It will literally go with anything.
My only criticism with these would have to be that they do dry your lips out a bit but just pop a little bit of clear gloss over the top and they're no trouble at all.
NYX is definitely one brand that's absolutely killing it for me on the high street at the moment so definitely look out for my NYX related posts in the near future .. I'm working my way through their products!

Who doesn't love a good matte look at the moment?
I absolutely love Sleek for their 'matte me' lipsticks .. they're definitely a lipstick you need to have the time to really focus on so that it doesn't go on messy! But well worth the effort.
Sleek make up is available in both Boots and Superdrug and are only £4.99.
The two shades I've been enjoying recently are 'Velvet Slipper' and 'Bittersweet'
Velvet Slipper is the darker, berry tone and I completely feel in love with it last year while on a little city break, berry tones are me all over. I love a good dark lip and this is working me wonders. Bittersweet is more of a dark nude. It's definitely someone I could get away with for everyday wear but it's still that little bit darker than that of the NYX nude I'm in love with.
Like the NYX Lingerie range I do also find these a bit dry after they've been worn for a long time. I tend to use these as more of a evening lipstick rather than a full day lipstick. I like a little bit of glossiness for a daytime look so these are perfect for hitting the town.

So I mentioned adding a little bit of gloss to my NYX lipsticks and for that I like to use Soap and Glory - Pillow Plump xxl.
I'm obsessed.
I just go for the clear one so that I can wear it over any lipstick and not worry about any bad colour mixes.
These again are available in Boots (Can we tell I like getting makeup in Boots?) and retail at £10 each.
I would never wear this on it's own because I live for a bit of colour so I just pop it over a colour to add a bit of glossiness.
This definitely lives up to it's name of being a lip plumper. It's so difficult to explain but it makes your lips tingle once it's on .. almost like burning but not in a horrible way! That makes absolutely no sense at all but I'm ok with that. You'll just have to give it a go I suppose! It doesn't tingle forever .. just for a bit when you first put it on but it's good. I promise.

Here's another photo just a little bit closer .. just to see the colours a little more clearly.

That's enough about lipsticks but I love them so I could talk all day!
Let me know what your favourite lipsticks are because I'm always on the look out for something new.
